Understanding Power and Gender Based Violence (Continuing Education Workshop hosted in collaboration with Rutgers School of Social Work)

6 月 24 @ 9:30 上午 - 12:30 下午

Gender and power-based violence is a major health and safety issue around the world. Social Workers and others within helping professions will encounter individuals who have experienced or committed forms of power or gender-based violence in their lifetimes. Yet, there is often a lack of understanding about these forms of violence, why they occur and the impact on individuals and society at large. This unique training hosted by Spence-Chapin in collaboration with Rutgers School of Social Work is designed for perinatal health professionals and social workers who are eager to expand their knowledge of the fundamental issues related to violence against women in all its forms – physical, sexual, emotional, and financial. Participants will also learn when and how to make a referral to Spence-Chapin, the free services and support we provide to our clients, and how we assist professionals working with this population.

The Rutgers School of Social Work will provide 3 CE hours for New York, New Jersey and Arizona social workers.

This workshop is not yet available for registration. Please contact Talia Oren at [email protected] with any questions.
