I’m Already Parenting

When being a parent has become too overwhelming to manage, it is important to know that you do have options.

Sometimes the financial strain is too much or the special needs of a child are too challenging. What once was a stable housing or work situation may have changed. A support system that was in place may have crumbled. Whatever is happening in your life right now, we can help you work through it and make the best decision for you and your family.

How We Can Help

Support and Counseling

We offer a safe space to consider all your options with free, confidential, and supportive counseling. You can speak with us however you feel most comfortable—phone, email, text, in person, or via virtual video counseling. Our counseling and support are available 24/7 and in multiple languages. Our services are available for all women and families, regardless of age or immigration status.

Newborn Interim / Respite Care

It can be difficult to think through your options clearly with a newborn at home. If you have recently given birth and would like some breathing space from parenting while you consider your options, our Interim Care Program offers trained volunteers who can take care of your baby in their home, providing loving care 24/7 while you work with a Spence-Chapin social worker.

You will retain full legal rights while your baby in in care and you are encouraged to visit your baby. This service is at no cost to you, but can be extremely valuable while you take the time you need to make a plan for the future. Is your child older than a newborn? Please contact us to see how we can help.
