We met in 2015 while Eric was bartending at one of Mike’s neighborhood bars. After developing a friendship over a year, we started dating and quickly fell in love. We moved in together and were engaged a few years later. We got married in 2021 and continue to live in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. We are both loving, kind and passionate individuals who are goofballs at heart. We both value family and friends and have discussed the desire to raise children from the first year that we began dating. We are at a point in our lives where we are ready to build a family and help give our child(ren) every opportunity to thrive as we can.

Our Lives
We live in a very diverse and active neighborhood in Manhattan that has a lot to offer. We like to spend our time together cooking, trying new restaurants, traveling and spending time with family and friends. We enjoy spending time outdoors in Central Park and exploring the city. Some of our fun traditions are taking a summer trip to the Caribbean and visiting the various Christmas sights that NYC has to offer. Mike works from home a few days a week and in his office a couple days each week. Eric is currently a full time student with the plan of graduating in 2023 and then working as a nurse in an NYC hospital.
Our Family
Family is very important to both of us. Eric is one of six children, and his entire family lives in Brooklyn. He has two great-nephews and we enjoy being a part of their childhood as they grow up. Since his family is nearby we get to see them quite often. Mike’s immediate family lives in Maryland and his extended family lives in Florida. We visit them multiple times each year, which also provides nice getaways from NYC. Mike’s brother recently welcomed a daughter, starting the next generation of that side of our family.
Vacations and holidays provide some of our greatest family traditions. We travel to the Jersey Shore and the Caribbean in the summer. We split Christmas time partially in Brooklyn and partially in Maryland each year. Both of our families are very supportive of our adoption journey and are excited to welcome another child into their lives.
