Hi, it’s so nice to meet you! First, thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We hope that this provides a glimpse into our life and our hearts.
Our journey started while dating when we served as counselors at a summer camp for children in foster care. We witnessed the love and bond that can be forged through adoption and both agreed that we wanted adoption to be part of growing our future family. Three years ago, we adopted our son, Dash, and it has been a joy & honor to be his parents.

About Joy (written by Will): If Joy was a puppy, she’d be Mochi (our 7-lb Shihpoo)! Small, adorable and cute, but commands the respect of those around her and doesn’t settle for second best. She is my best friend. Whenever we’re together we’re laughing with and at each other. Our goofiness is one of the best parts of our relationship.

About Will (written by Joy): If Will was a puppy, he would be a Goldendoodle. Playful, clumsy, and fiercely loyal, protective, with the biggest heart. He can strike up a conversation with anyone and genuinely loves getting to know others.
About Dash

Hobbies: Loves Paw Patrol, reading, and playing with his friends
About Dash: If Dash was a puppy, he’d be a Bulldog! Loyal, a little stubborn, and funny. Dash loves to dance, hang out with friends, and go to the beach. He recently started Pre-K and is loving his friends and teachers. He is excited to be a big brother.
Our Lives
Our home is right up against the Hudson River in the heart of a rapidly growing community in Jersey City, NJ. We have a private playground, swimming pool, and are surrounded by many young families with kids of all ages. Aside from amazing restaurants and entertainment that are only steps away, we’re a short walk from Liberty State Park, where it’s easy to ride bikes and have picnics.
Our weekends consist of getting our favorite bagels and walking by the Hudson River. We love taking Dash to the park, the mall, and Liberty Science Center, a science museum near us! We also enjoy hosting friends over for brunch or dinner.
We spend every summer at the pool or beach. Every Thanksgiving, we rent an Airbnb upstate and enjoy a week-long getaway. Every few years, we take an international trip. Together, we have been to 20 different countries, all of which hold a special place in our hearts.
Our Family
Both our families are in Texas, but we speak to them often. Joy video chats with her mom at least 2-3 times a week, and Will’s family keeps in touch over group text. Every Christmas, we spend two weeks in Texas with both our families. Dash loves being spoiled by his grandparents.
Even though we’re far from family, we are lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing friends – whom we consider family as well. They all have young children! Our favorite things to do with friends are trying new restaurants, going to comedy shows, or hosting them in our home. They have all been incredibly supportive of our adoption journey and of Dash. Our children will be raised by a loving and accepting village!
Final Thoughts

Although we can’t fully understand the difficulty in making this decision, we are so appreciative of your courage and resilience in getting here. We are 100% committed to this journey and should we be blessed with the opportunity, promise to love your child unconditionally and provide the opportunity for them to grow up to be the best version of themselves.
