Frank & Diana

Hi, we are Frank and Diana. We met in 2009 through an online dating site, have been married for 12 years, and have been looking forward to growing our family ever since. Both of us are hardworking and loving individuals who have spent most of our lives working with children of all ages. Frank comes from a vibrant Italian family, who loves cooking and sharing meals with friends and loved ones who visit. Meanwhile, Diana’s passion for nature blossomed during summer camping trips upstate with her family. Together, we treasure the bonds of family, relishing how our circle has expanded through marriages, births, and friendships, creating a rich tapestry of love and connection. We love to travel, whether it be local trips on Long Island, road trips to upstate New York or vacation cruises, just as much as curling up at home reading a good book or watching a funny movie with our 4-year-old husky Siku. We look forward to sharing these pastimes with our child.

Our Lives

Our home is on a quiet suburban street on Long Island. We have several local schools, libraries, playgrounds and parks catering to various indoor and outdoor activities. During the week, Frank spends his late afternoons and early evenings teaching martial arts while Diana teaches in a New York City public school. Each evening, we have dinner, spend time reading, watching a show or playing a game together. We enjoy spending our weekends out with family and friends who are family or at home with Siku. On Sunday mornings, we attend church and go out for breakfast. Both of our parents live within 15 minutes of our home, and we see them on a weekly basis; we have siblings, nephews and nieces within a 2 hour drive we love to see and spend time with when we can. We are on the phone with our siblings on a weekly basis, sometimes through video chats.

Our Family

Our family gets together for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, a few birthday months and at least once during the summer. We enjoy spending time together outside during the summer, sitting poolside or dockside with Frank’s family or hiking and around a campfire with Diana’s family. Christmas and Easter are big holidays for us; we see both sets of parents and most of our siblings, nephews and nieces. We split time between both sides of the family to share in traditions: 7 Fishes dinner (Christmas Eve), French toast breakfast (Christmas morning), opening presents, traditional foods and egg hunts (Easter) and sharing stories. Both of our best friends, who we view as chosen siblings, are within 10-20 minutes of our home and we see them often to craft, build, play games and share meals. Our friends with children cannot wait to have another little one joining our circle of friendship and love.

Final Thoughts

Any child that comes into our home will be loved and cherished. We have dreamed of having a child to raise and that feeling has only become stronger since making the decision to adopt.
