We have always wanted to adopt a child. Though we were blessed with a son, Veer, in 2020, our dream of adoption never wavered. We initially began the adoption process in 2019, but the unexpected pregnancy (after four IVF cycles and numerous miscarriages) paused our plans. Now, with our son almost out of the toddler phase, we have had time to grow as parents and are more than ready to welcome another child into our home. We are emotionally, physically, and financially prepared to provide a loving and supportive environment for a new family member. Veer is excited too and often talks about wanting a baby sibling. We are eager to expand our family through adoption and share our love with another child.

Our Lives
Our little family enjoys spending time together. At home, this might involve cooking together, game night, taking our dog Mowgli for a walk, watching a movie while cuddling on the couch, or going on a family bike ride to the park. We like to travel together, and already as a family of 3, we have been to India, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, and the Dominican Republic. We like to try new things. For example, today, we took Veer roller skating for the first time, and he had a great time.
Amidst all this, there are of course tantrums, miscommunication, and disagreements, but they are all short-lived because we prioritize our bond above all else.
The only thing missing currently is having a sibling for Veer. We both have 1 sibling each, and we know how important it is having a best friend/partner-in-crime in your life.
Our Family:
We come from large families that see each other often – we see our families in New York most often and travel to Chicago to see Hetal’s family 3 times a year. Our immediate family includes parents, siblings, and grandparents, and our extended family includes numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. This child would be so loved — with 2 first cousins and 23 second cousins (!) to have fun with and learn from if he/she joins our family!
We celebrate holidays like Memorial Day (also our wedding anniversary), Thanksgiving (Friendsgiving), Christmas (we love Secret Santa), etc. In addition to this, we celebrate Indian holidays and traditions like Holi and Diwali. During Holi, for example, we have a party with Veer’s cousins where they enjoy throwing colorful powders at each other and dancing to Bollywood music.
Final Thoughts:
We understand the immense sacrifice it is to give up a child, and if chosen, we would work to ensure an open relationship that works for both the child and the birth family. We would be eternally grateful for the opportunity to grow our family through adoption.
