Hello! We are Nicholas and Shawn. We have been together since 2014 and were married in June of 2019. We own our own home and live in a quiet suburban community outside of Buffalo, NY. Nicholas’ mother, Robin, resides with us. We share a love for animals and adopted our two Siberian Huskies (Mishka & Atlas) & our two parrots (Pickles & Elphie). We also have a saltwater aquarium! We love our community (GO BILLS) and will often explore what our community has to offer. We love to travel and will often visit Nicholas’ best friend in Florida. While in Florida, we enjoy going to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, the beach, and kayaking in Silver Springs State Park. We come from loving and supportive families with many nieces and nephews of our own. Being an LGBTQ+ couple, and unable to have a biological child of our own, adoption has always been in our hearts. We understand your decision to place your child up for adoption is not an easy one. Should you choose us as their adoptive parents, we hope to provide them with a home filled with love, laughter, and all they need to grow and flourish.

Fun Fact: Nick has always loved crafting and creating all different kinds of handmade projects. He enjoys making handmade custom quilts for family and friends that he can customize using his sewing machine, embroidery machine, and longarm quilting machine. He also enjoys participating in craft fairs as a vendor selling some of his creations.

Our Lives
We both value time spent with our family. After work, we will often make dinner and enjoy a quiet evening at home, either watching movies together while Nicholas works on his crafts, or we will take our huskies out for a walk or to play in the backyard. Our weekends are often spent with our friends and/or family. In the summertime, we often cook out on the patio and enjoy the pool/hot tub. In the Fall/Winter, we enjoy making meals together, or on special occasions, at a local restaurant. We enjoy traveling and look forward to family vacations such as cruises, trips to Florida, and other various places around the country/world. We cannot help but to envision the joy a child will bring to our lives as we share our day-to-day with them, building memories and experiences together.
Our Family
Our immediate family consists of ourselves and our pets. On Nicholas’ side we have Nicholas’ Mother (Robin), his brother (Samuel), Samuel’s wife (Tanner) and their daughter (Thea). We are also close with Nicholas’ uncle, aunts, and cousins. On Shawn’s side, we have his grandmother (Jane), as well as Shawn’s brothers, their wives, and their children. We have a close network of friends and their children, whom we consider family and see on a regular basis. Our family and friends are all from the Buffalo area, and we are lucky to be able to live within a 15-20 minute drive of them all. Our family is loving and supportive, and they are excited for us to be on our adoption journey and be a part of our child’s life! We cannot wait to share both of our families’ cultures and traditions with our child and their birth family someday!
