Sarah & Barry

Hi, we’re Sarah and Barry! We met in 2005 and have been together for over 20 years! We are both from Ireland and visit our families there regularly. We own our home together in Hoboken, NJ, a vibrant and community-oriented town just outside of NYC. Our home is conveniently located near excellent schools, numerous parks, splash pads, and is part of a very child-centered neighborhood. We have two dogs, Hudson and Bailey, who are the sweetest pups. We are excited to grow our family through adoption and to provide a loving, supportive, and fun home for our future child. Our strong network of friends and family is also excited to be part of this journey! We value respect, kindness, and integrity, and promise to uphold those values in parenthood.

If you choose us, our hearts will always be dedicated to ensuring your child is happy, safe, loved, and supported. We will give your child every opportunity to travel, pursue education, and explore their interests. We promise to honor you as an essential part of our family and celebrate your child’s background and heritage. We also can’t wait to share our Irish roots and traditions with you and your child!

Our Lives

We are both very down-to-earth, easy-going people. Our lives are filled with spending time with family and friends, engaging in sports, and traveling. Though our days can be busy during the week, we always make time for each other by sharing meals together, going for walks, and checking in on each other throughout the day. On weekends, we love to go for beach walks with our dogs, attend a sporting game, work out, or explore all that NYC has to offer. We regularly host Sunday roast dinners for our friends and family, making an effort to spend quality time with the people we love.

When we visit Ireland, we spend time with our nieces and nephews, visit the family farm, explore the beautiful countryside and beaches, and breathe the fresh air. We typically visit Ireland two to three times a year, but also love to travel to other countries at least once or twice a year.

Our Family

We have many important people in our lives. We see our parents regularly, and they are excited to welcome a new granddaughter or grandson into their lives. Barry has three brothers who all have young kids and are excited to welcome a new cousin!

We are godparents to three of our nieces and nephews and love being part of their lives. We celebrate Christmas together, and Barry spends time with his brothers at football matches. We are also in touch daily through phone calls and group messages. We are fortunate to say that our friends are also like family to us. Many of our friends also have young children who are a regular part of our lives. They are all incredibly supportive and can’t wait for us to become parents.

Final Thoughts

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our profile. We are honored to be considered as future parents. If you decide to choose us, we promise to do everything possible to provide your child with a lifetime of fun, support, and opportunities. We believe in honoring your child’s roots and maintaining their connections to their identity and heritage. We would welcome an open relationship with you if that’s your wish. Choosing us means your child will grow up cherished, encouraged to dream big, and always knowing how deeply they are loved by us and by you.
