We’re a family of four – the two of us, our tuxedo cat, Butters, and our Jack Russell/beagle mix, Waffles. In each other, we’ve found a partner who will be a devoted parent. We’ve built a loving home together and have dreamed of becoming parents for years.
We went through several rounds of IVF and IUI, but we believe that parenthood is defined by love and care, not biology. Adoption feels like a natural fit – an opportunity to share the love, stability, and joy in our home with a child, and to grow our family through connection, guidance, and warmth.
We’re so excited to support a child as they discover who they are and grow into everything they hope to be.

About Thomas
Job: Digital Production Specialist at WNET New York Public Media
Hobbies: I enjoy designing and playing tabletop games with my friends, writing software, and gardening. I also create a science-history podcast with an audience of enthusiastic and friendly listeners. I pick up new interests often, and I love having diverse creative outlets.

About Meena
Job: Production Manager at ABC News Studios (The Walt Disney Company)
Hobbies: I love thrifting, home design, and dabbling in amateur furniture building—along with anything crafty that involves a glue gun and some glitter. Honestly, I just enjoy the excuse to make a mess.
Fun Fact: We met in 2008 in an Improv 101 class at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre—so yes, you could say our relationship started with a lot of “yes, and.” We spent six months taking classes and performing around New York City before we ever started dating, but one thing was clear from the beginning: we’ve always made each other laugh.
Our Lives
We live in a warm, welcoming community with tree-lined streets, friendly neighbors, and plenty of small, local spots that make every weekend feel special. When the weather is nice, you’ll find us strolling with Waffles, browsing the farmers’ market, or enjoying breakfast outside at a family-run café.
Our days are a mix of creativity, connection, and quiet moments at home. We love cooking together, working on little home projects, and sharing laughter with friends and neighbors. Our home is full of joy, and we try to fill it with kindness, curiosity, and simple moments of happiness.
We can’t wait to share this way of life with a child—exploring local parks, library story times, and all the everyday moments that make a home feel warm and full of love.
Our Family
Our child will have three nearby cousins who are a little older – perfect for games, adventures, and occasional mischief – and three cousins in their teens and twenties in Virginia, who are already excited to meet a new family member.
Meena’s parents live just down the road and will be there for storytimes, new recipes, and lots of hugs, while Thomas’s parents will visit from Michigan whenever they can, bringing fun, laughter, and plenty of love. All four grandparents are excited to share home-cooked meals and make every holiday special.
As an intercultural family, our child will celebrate Easter and Christmas, Diwali and Raksha Bandhan, and everything in between. We’ll also honor their birth family’s traditions, helping them feel connected to all the different pieces of who they are, in a home that’s always full of warmth, curiosity, and joy.
Final Thoughts
We feel so grateful for the trust it takes to consider us for your child. Please know we would welcome them with so much love, care, and intention, and create a home where they feel safe, supported, and truly themselves. We promise to cherish and nurture them every step of the way, while honoring you and your place in their life with openness, respect, and deep appreciation.
