Michael & Ronie

Hi! We are Michael, Ronie, and Ariana! We live in a vibrant neighborhood in New York City, where we enjoy visiting parks, art galleries and ice cream shops. We love spending time at the playground, library, and making delicious foods. We love visiting family and friends all over the country, and Ariana loves seeing her cousins and playing with her friends from all over. She’s a well seasoned traveler and loves the beach most of all.

Ronie and Michael met in Colorado and were married in 2013. We liked the mountains and outdoors but wanted a culturally rich and diverse place to start our family, so we moved to NYC in 2015. We always knew that we wanted to be adoptive parents, and we began our first adoption journey in 2018 and were blessed to bring home baby Ariana 🙂 Our family hopes to provide a vibrant, lively, loving, and safe home for another child to grow up in. Ariana is excited to become a big sister! Together we have so much love to give and provide for another child to become a kind and confident person in the world as we guide them to learn and grow.

Our Lives

A typical weekday starts by getting Ariana ready for school – only a 5-minute walk away! Michael either walks to his office or works from home, and Ronie goes to campus for class and study. Ariana enjoys after-school activities like art, ballet and hip-hop classes, and either one or both of us pick her up in the afternoon and go to the park or go play with one of her many friends in the neighborhood.

Evenings include Ariana’s schoolwork and video chats with her grandparents or cousins while we make dinner. Weekends are mostly relaxed. We meet up with friends or family to play or go on an adventure in the city. Ariana loves the zoo! We often spend part of summer with Ronie’s mom in Arizona. Ariana loves her Grandma and they are very close. Ariana is very excited to help take care of a baby sibling every day!

Our Family

Grandma (Ronie’s mom) is Ariana’s bestie 🙂 Every summer we spend time at Grandma’s house where Ariana gets to feed the birds and water flowers every morning. She is even learning to garden! Michael’s parents (Nana and Grandpa) live in Illinois, and also his brother’s family with three young kids that we stay with when we visit most years. Arians loves her cousins!

We are grateful to have family and friends in other places like California, Georgia, Indiana, and Minnesota that we will continue to visit through the years. There will never be a shortage of family and close friends to play with, and we feel blessed to have so many friends who share our family values of being kind, gentle and inclusive. We try to lead with gratitude and be patient with ourselves and others to provide a safe, happy and healthy home.

Final Thoughts

We recognize the tremendous courage you have to be considering making an adoption plan and would be so grateful to be considered to provide a safe and loving home for a child soon to arrive.
